April 29th, 1948: The Centenary Dinner
This photo shows all the staff and guests assembled to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of rhe business by Thos. Thacker in 1848 (some thirty years before it was acquired by T.S. Kaye, in fact).
William Henry and my grandmother, Minnie, in her fox fur stole (i think she even slept in it), take pride of place, together with my father (seated fourth from the left) and fellow partners John and Frank Ringrose - sons of Thomas Swaine's step-brother John.
